In a world where the cell phone has become inseparable from its human, there are some places that break the rule and ban the use of the device in their premises.
If you still try to use the smartphone in these places, there is a risk of being expelled or even legally responding to local authorities for bypassing the restriction. Green Bank (USA)
In the small town of Green Bank, located in West Virginia, United States, say goodbye to your cell phone, as Wi-Fi, signal, and radio equipment are strictly prohibited, according to federal law.
The reason? The town has a set of highly sensitive telescopes from the ‘National Radio Astronomy Observatory’ (NRAO), and any interference can disrupt their operation.
Sistine Chapel (Vatican)
The Sistine Chapel, located in the Vatican, Italy, annually receives about 4 million visitors, but tourists can only keep the memory of the place in mind, as the use of cell phones is restricted.
Caribbean Beaches
If you want to show off with a photo in the Caribbean, you better not go to the Elite Island resorts, as the group bans the use of cell phones, tablets and laptops on their main beaches. The company argues that the restriction is for the “total relaxation” of guests and contact with nature.
Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam)
The National Museum of Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum, in the Netherlands restricts the use of phone devices, with the aim that visitors can better appreciate the works of art and exhibitions of the place.
Petit Jardin Restaurant (France)
The famous restaurant near Marseille, France, bans the use of smartphones, and the customer who is caught using it, at first, is warned with a yellow card, but, if they break the rule again, they receive a red card and are expelled from the establishment.
