The image was taken as the spacecraft approached the Moon for a return propulsion pass, revealing a spectacular view of the lunar surface, highlighting the Oceanus Procellarum, known as the Ocean of Storms, with its dark and smooth landscape.
The center of the image showcases the striking Marius crater, measuring 41 kilometers in diameter, and to the right is the Kepler crater.
