Officially cataloged as IC 1805, this expansive emission nebula is located approximately 7,500 light-years away from Earth in the Cassiopeia constellation and surprises with its resemblance to a human heart.
The long-exposure image captures the intense red light emitted by hydrogen, the predominant element in the nebula. Additionally, nuances of yellow (silicon) and blue (oxygen) enrich the composition, providing a detailed and rich view.
In the center of the Heart Nebula, young stars from the Melotte 15 cluster emerge, unleashing a cosmic spectacle by eroding majestic dust columns with their energetic light and exciting atom winds.
