In the video, Google unveiled global events, personalities, news, entertainment, and other topics that have captured people’s attention over the past 25 years, the age the search engine reached in 2023. According to Google, among the top searches from 1998 are:

- Decade: 1980s
- Sport: Soccer
- Athlete: Cristiano Ronaldo
- MVP (Most Valuable Player): LeBron James
- Pokémon: Pikachu
- Cast: Harry Potter
- Character: Homer Simpson
- Boy Band: BTS
- Performance: Beyoncé
- Emoji: Heart
- Toy: Barbie
- Composer: Taylor Swift
- Cartoon: SpongeBob SquarePants
- Superhero: Spider-Man
- Challenge: Ice Bucket Challenge
- Parade: LGBTQIA+ Parade
- Social Movement: Black Lives Matter
