The company Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) has launched new smart rifles with the state-of-the-art ARBEL system, highly efficient in the war against drones.

In addition to advancements in infantry combat, the weapons also feature guided suppression fire with greater precision and anti-drone tools.

The ARBEL-NEGEV system, which optimizes the IWI NEGEV machine gun, features an advanced firing mechanism without affecting the fully automatic function, but also adds the “burst” mode with the help of technology.

In this mode, it is possible to save ammunition in longer battles, according to the Israeli company. With the system, the weight of the weapon increases by only 900g, which does not affect its handling or reduce its effectiveness in combat.

The ARBEL-ARAD system focuses on standard IWI ARAD infantry rifles and AR-15 platforms with a 5.56mm chamber and adds the ability to combat aerial attacks with the same rifles that operators already know, eliminating the need for additional training.

The company emphasized that the system allows drones to be hit at up to 450 meters away without the need for extra equipment.
