A Japanese influencer known for having a “big stomach” and eating huge amounts of food in competitions has announced that she is retiring at 40 years old.

Yuka Kinoshita posted her retirement announcement online in early February, revealing that the main reasons are her age and health, which she said has been “deteriorating” over the years.

“I will turn 40 on February 4, and it’s very difficult for me to continue working as a big eater,” she said, just a few months after returning to social media following a seven-month hiatus.

Kinoshita, who suffers from bipolar disorder, has over 5 million followers on her YouTube channel. “I am very exhausted,” she also said in her statement to fans.

“My health has worsened over the years. It’s not a problem to eat like a normal person, but I feel tired even when I’m not full. So, I’m afraid I won’t be able to eat as much as before.”

Kinoshita gained fame in 2009 after participating in the Japanese reality show The Battle of Big Eater, where she earned the nickname “queen of the big stomach” for being very slim and cute but eating absurd amounts of food without difficulty.
