A woman used ChatGPT to find out if she was being cheated on by her husband. Now, the AI has become the reason for the end of a 12-year marriage.
By uploading some photos of her husband’s coffee grounds to ChatGPT, the Greek woman asked the chatbot to try to “read” them.
“She usually likes trendy things. One day, she made Greek coffee for us and thought it would be fun to take photos of the cups and ask ChatGPT to ‘read’ what they said,” the husband told the Greek morning show To Proino.
And, surprisingly, it succeeded. But what she did not expect was that ChatGPT claimed her husband was fantasizing about another woman, specifically one whose name started with “E.”
He took it as a joke, but the woman didn’t find it funny at all. “She told me to leave, told our kids about the divorce, and when I realized it, I was receiving a call from her lawyer,” he shared.
According to the Greek City Times, the husband rejected a mutual separation. However, three days later, he received the divorce papers. “That’s when I realized it wasn’t just a phase.”
