“If your kid is screaming on a flight (delayed, no AC, and hasn’t taken off yet, @Delta), show them a phone. [Put them on] TikTok until they’re quiet. Is that too much to ask?” he wrote in the caption.
“I feel bad for the parents, but there comes a point where you have to try something new. Walk them up and down the aisle, distract them, do something. It’s still going on. Just praying for it to stop isn’t acceptable.”
The video has already racked up over 15 million views and quickly became a topic of debate in the comments. “Is it too much to ask to buy decent noise-canceling headphones?” one user asked.
“If the parents really aren’t doing anything to try to calm the baby, then I agree. Otherwise, if they’re trying, sometimes nothing works, man, and a bit of patience is needed here,” another replied.
“I can guarantee that parent is way more stressed than you flying solo with headphones. Grow up,” another person shot back. “You clearly don’t have kids. It’s not that easy. Buy headphones,” added another.
