After protests against deportations carried out by the U.S. Immigration Department, hacker group Anonymous criticized Donald Trump on social media.

The group made several posts on X (formerly Twitter) commenting on the protests that erupted in Los Angeles following the tightening of immigration rules and mass deportations in the country.
A posted video shows the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) assaulting a protester. According to Anonymous, this is what they do when they think “no one is watching.”
In another post, they shared a screenshot of an article from The Hill, with the headline: “Kamala (Harris)’s latest lie: Trump is going to send the army after you.” In the caption, they wrote: “She was a liar… oh wait…”
The group’s posts came after a controversial statement from the president on his social media platform, Truth Social: “We made a great decision to send the National Guard to deal with the violent and incited riots in California. If we hadn’t done that, Los Angeles would have been completely destroyed,” Trump said.
He also called California Governor Gavin Newsom “incompetent” and said that he and Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, are lying to citizens.
