Bryce Shelton and Paige Berdomas were following a tornado in South Dakota when Shelton suddenly got down on one knee to propose to Berdomas.

“It was the most beautiful tornado I’ve ever seen in my life,” said the bride-to-be, who was visibly thrilled that her beloved used such a special moment to pop the question.

And of course, she said “yes.” “It was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal,” Berdomas added. On social media, she also said the proposal was “the most epic possible.”

“How could this day ever be topped? I experienced this in South Dakota with the love of my life and now fiancé. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” Berdomas wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking to FOX Weather, Shelton revealed he had been planning the proposal for five months and always carried the ring in his pocket, just waiting for the right moment.

“I wanted to do it in South Dakota, in front of a photogenic tornado, because South Dakota is our favorite state—both of ours. And it all worked out,” he told People magazine.
