After Zuckerberg opens up about the fight, Musk wants to face him (Twitter (X) / Threads)

In recent weeks, there has been talk about a possible fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Both have been using social media to discuss the showdown, and after the CEO of Meta ‘opens up’ about the fight through Threads, the owner of Twitter, now called X, suggested that the fight take place today (08/14)!

Through X, Elon responded to a user who had shared a screenshot of a conversation between the billionaire and Mark, and added a part of the chat that had been cut off in the image, confirming its authenticity.

In the conversation, Musk initially asks Mark if he wants to train at the Meta owner’s house, but Zuckerberg is firm:

“If you still want to have a real MMA fight, you must train alone and let me know when you’re ready to compete. I don’t want to keep generating expectations about something that will never happen. So you must decide if you’re going to do this and do it soon, or if we should move on,” replied Mark Zuckerberg.

After a few hours, Elon responded that he would be in Palo Alto, a city in California, USA, where Zuckerberg lives, this Monday, and added, “we’ll fight in your octagon,” referring to an arena that the owner of Facebook and Instagram has in his backyard.

“I haven’t been training much, except for a brief fight with Lex Fridman today. Although I find it highly unlikely, given our size difference, maybe you’re a modern Bruce Lee and somehow win,” Musk concluded.

Apparently, Mark Zuckerberg did not respond further to the entrepreneur via message, but he talked about the fight on Threads:

“I think we can all agree that Elon is not serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real meeting. Dana White offered to turn it into a legitimate charity competition. Elon doesn’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a training round in my backyard. If Elon takes a real meeting and an official event seriously, he knows how to contact me. Otherwise, it’s time to move on. I will focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” Zuckerberg said.

On the other hand, Elon Musk used X, formerly Twitter, again to say that he wants to meet and fight with Mark later tonight.

“For the Tesla FSD test drive in Palo Alto tonight, I will ask the car to drive to Mark Zuckerberg’s house. I will also test the newly launched X live stream, so you can monitor our adventure in real time! If we’re lucky and Zuck actually answers the door, the fight begins!”

Musk, who also owns Tesla and SpaceX, commented (and mocked) Mark Zuckerberg’s claims on Threads:

“Zuck recently used Threads to talk about how he would of course love to fight anytime, but blah blah UFC something something,” Elon wrote.
