A man suspected of breaking into a house in a wealthy neighborhood in São Paulo, Brazil, was discovered by the police thanks to a pair of Apple headphones.
The crime occurred last weekend when a gang broke into a house in Jardim Paulista and stole jewelry and a watch, totaling more than R$ 1.5 million (about $265,000).
The thieves also took a pair of AirPods, Apple’s wireless headphones, which ended up being the key for the police to find one of the criminals.
It turns out that one of the robbery victims was able to track the location of the headphones. The “Find My” app on the iPhone showed that the man, 28 years old, was in Diadema, where he was arrested.
With him, the police found R$ 10,000 (about $1,700) in cash, along with some jewelry and the shirt worn during the crime. Initially, the suspect denied involvement, but images confirmed his participation in the home invasion.
