According to Apple itself, the Vision Pro, which was unveiled in 2023 during the Annual Apple Developers Conference (WWDC), is a ‘revolutionary space computer that transforms the way people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories, and enjoy entertainment.’ According to Tim Cook, CEO of Apple:

“The Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronic device ever created. Its revolutionary and magical user interface will redefine how we connect, create, and explore.”

The mixed reality glasses, combining virtual and augmented reality, are powered by the operating system called visionOS, which according to Apple, is built on decades of engineering innovation in macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.

The Apple Vision Pro features a three-dimensional interface and input system controlled entirely by the user’s eyes, hands, and voice. Additionally, the device allows adjusting the immersion and isolation of the environment, identifies when someone enters the user’s field of vision to display them in full, comes with a variety of apps and widgets, takes photos, and even records in 3D.

The Apple Vision Pro will be available for purchase starting at $3,499, with 256 GB of storage. On the next Friday (19), the device will be available for pre-order. Apple has not disclosed anything about the global sale of the device, so in these first months, the Vision Pro will be available only in the United States.
