Baby Raves have been attracting parents who miss the party days and are looking for fun activities to share with their young children.
These daytime family-friendly events have already become a success in Australia, Canada, and the United States, allowing parents to relive their youth, dancing to electronic music alongside their kids.
Parents and children enjoy remixes of popular songs, such as “Baby Shark,” as well as light shows, jugglers, face painting, and many other attractions that make the rave complete.
Adam Lewis, one of the co-founders of Little Ravers, an event held in a chic industrial space in New York, USA, believes that raves for parents and children offer adults a chance to relive their youth in the best company.
“Kids throw themselves onto the dance floor, loving every second of the lights, music, and interactive elements. But we also see parents reliving their festival days, dancing just as intensely—sometimes more intensely than their kids,” he told The Post.
And although raves are known for crowded events and loud music for hours on end, the sound levels at baby raves are safe for children and last only 90 minutes, as the little ones tire more quickly.
The concept of baby raves originated in Oceania and gained popularity thanks to Lenny Pearce, a DJ and founder of Toddler Techno. Pearce began remixing nursery rhymes so he and his daughter could dance together, and his success on social media led him to organize events for parents and kids in Australia, Asia, and other places, selling about 100,000 tickets globally.
“This is an event where parents can bring their kids and enjoy it as a whole, rather than just bringing them and sitting there bored while waiting for the show to end,” Pearce told The Post. “It’s something we can all enjoy.”
