In the first quarter of 2025 alone, there are several smartphone releases that are getting tech enthusiasts very excited.
Keep reading to check out three of the most awaited launches for 2025:
1. iPhone SE 4
It has not been officially confirmed by Apple yet, but rumors suggest that the fourth edition of the iPhone SE will arrive early in 2025. This is because it is a more affordable model and does not fall within the release window of the more expensive iPhones, which happens at the end of the year.
Compared to the previous model, the new SE would feature a change from the LED screen to an OLED display, making it the first entry-level iPhone with this technology. Additionally, it would introduce the USB-C port, a design borrowed from the iPhone 14 with a 6.06-inch screen, FaceID for unlocking and authentication, and the introduction of Apple Intelligence, Apple’s artificial intelligence.
2. Galaxy S25
Later this month, Samsung is expected to announce the new product lineup for the S series, which will replace the S24 released last year. Although it will bring only a few subtle changes compared to the previous models, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature thinner bezels on the screens, which will also reduce its weight.
Moreover, the Ultra version would also feature an improvement in the telephoto camera, increasing from 10 to 50 megapixels with 3x optical zoom. The other lenses are expected to remain the same as the current model, with a 200 MP wide lens and a 50 MP periscope lens.
3. Redmi Note 14
The Redmi Note 14, which is part of Xiaomi’s most successful series, is already available in China. It has a 6.67-inch OLED display, Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz in the base model. The smartphone also comes in two versions, with 6 or 12 GB of RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
Unlike the previous model, which had three rear cameras, the Redmi Note 14 has only two: the main camera with 50 MP and a 2 MP macro camera. One of Xiaomi’s highlights is the battery, which this time has a capacity of 5110 mAh and supports 45 W fast charging.
