A chicken seen crossing the street to reach a fried chicken restaurant has left social media users quite confused.

According to a local rescue organization, the “poor” and “confused” chicken ended up in front of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant franchise in Des Moines, Iowa (USA).

Fortunately, a passerby saw the chicken and decided to call the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. This way, the chicken avoided being dipped in one of the 21 sauces on the Buffalo Wild Wings menu.

“Talk about a chicken on the wrong side of the road,” joked the Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Iowa in a Facebook post about the chicken.

“Fortunately, an ARL Animal Services officer was called to rescue this poor confused chicken in front of Buffalo Wild Wings on SE 14th in Des Moines today.”

After rescuing the bird, the organization took the opportunity to promote their chicken adoption program. However, according to them, this lucky chicken is not available for adoption.
