Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly known as Twitter), used the social media platform itself to announce another update: now it’s possible to download videos directly from the platform. However, this feature is only available to X Blue subscribers, previously known as Twitter Blue.

Previously, users had to rely on third-party apps and websites to download videos from X (Twitter). But now, according to Musk, the process can be done directly on the platform. To download, video creators need to enable the download option for their content.

According to Elon Musk, users should click on the ‘three dots’ in the top right corner of the post and select the download option to save the publication. In the future, the billionaire revealed that it will also be possible to download videos by simply tapping and holding the screen, similar to how images are downloaded.

More updates for X Blue subscribers

Now, X is also allowing users who have purchased the verification badge, in other words, X Blue subscribers (formerly Twitter Blue), to hide their verification badges.

In the latest update, which is already available, Elon Musk’s company revealed the option to hide the verification badge on both the profile and posts, although it may still appear in some specific places.

Twitter is now X!

Last week, Elon Musk announced that Twitter would have a new name and look, saying goodbye to the classic ‘bird’ logo and blue color.

Through his official profile on the platform, Musk revealed the new identity of the social media platform, which now features a black color scheme instead of blue, and the bird logo has been replaced by the letter ‘X’, the new name of Twitter.
