On the last Wednesday (22), Elon Musk announced that he will reverse a controversial change to X (Twitter). In a future update, the platform will once again display news headlines in the feed.

“In an upcoming release, X will overlay the title in the upper portion of the image of a URL card,” said the entrepreneur. The social network has not displayed the titles of shared links since October, a change that, according to Musk, was intended to make the timeline look more aesthetically pleasing.

However, the change sparked much controversy on social media. With the update, news outlets had to start writing the headlines of the news in the actual post. Additionally, users had difficulty differentiating links to articles from regular images.

For now, the update has not been given a confirmed date, despite Musk’s announcement on his personal profile on the platform.
