Apple’s innovative CarPlay Ultra was launched as a way to revolutionize current multimedia concepts — a feature already present in nearly all modern vehicles.

First introduced in Aston Martin cars last month, CarPlay Ultra not only provides basic multimedia tools via Bluetooth, but is a fully integrated system connected to the car’s dashboard, with access to the speedometer and control over functions like air conditioning.
However, according to the Financial Times, Apple has reportedly faced major hurdles in integrating CarPlay Ultra into vehicles from leading automakers.
These include manufacturers that, according to Apple, had already committed to adopting the system — such as German brands Mercedes-Benz and Audi, Swedish brands Volvo and Polestar, and the French Renault.
While these companies have stated they will continue to support the standard version of the system, it appears they have all backed out and confirmed they have no plans to implement CarPlay Ultra in their vehicles.
Aside from Aston Martin, which already offers the new feature, several other automakers still plan to include the system in upcoming models, including: Land Rover, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Porsche, Jaguar, and others.
