A 42-year-old man was found dead in a lan-house café in Thailand after spending the night gaming alone.

Jirakrit Ruangsri, a regular customer of the café, arrived at the venue on Saturday night with some snacks and sodas, apparently preparing for a night of gaming.

On Sunday morning, Jirakrit was seen with his head resting on his arm, and staff thought he had fallen asleep. When the café manager tried to wake him, they realized the man was dead.

Emergency services were called, and the police arrived shortly after. “It is estimated that the deceased had been dead for over six hours because his body was already stiff,” explained police captain Itsaraphong Suwannajak.

“No signs of aggression were found. The police inspected his motorcycle and found several appointment confirmations from Chonburi Hospital in his name. They were appointments to discuss heart surgery.”

A preliminary search revealed no suspicious items in his possession. On his table were a water bottle, a can of soda, snacks, inhalers, and a motorcycle keychain.

His backpack contained clothes, medication, and hospital documents, indicating that he was receiving treatment for a heart condition, something he had mentioned to the café staff during some of his visits, according to them.
