These changes aim to make the assistant easier to use and will take effect from January 26, with most features being removed one month after that date.

The 17 features of Google Assistant being withdrawn will affect mobile devices, smartwatches, and smart speakers/displays. Google provides alternatives to replicate some lost functionalities, but features like integration with the Calm meditation service will be completely removed.

Among the features that will be removed are: the ability to control audiobooks, set media alarms, access the recipe book, control activities on Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 devices, view sleep summaries on Smart Displays, check travel itineraries by voice, and take specific actions by voice. Check the details in the official list released by Google.
