GTA 6, the sequel to the beloved open-world game series from Rockstar, had its price and release date revealed in Take-Two documents.

The documents, released last Thursday (6), revealed that GTA 6 will be released this year, during the fall of the northern hemisphere, covering September, October, and November.

Take-Two also discussed other highly anticipated titles, such as Mafia: The Old Country, which will be released in the summer, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, which arrives on February 11, and Borderlands 4.

In the documents, they stated that with the release of GTA 6, the planned launch list makes 2025 “one of the strongest years of all time” for the company.

However, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, warned eager players that the date is only an estimate and not set in stone. “Look, there’s always a risk of a slip-up, and I think the moment you say words like absolutely, you tempt fate,” Zelnick told IGN.

“We feel very good about it. I think the game is highly anticipated both internally and externally. We know Rockstar is aiming for perfection. I never claim success before it happens. Our whole organization is super excited.”

As for the prices, new generation games are priced at about $70 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In 2013, when GTA 5 was released on the PS4 and Xbox One, the price was approximately $60.

Considering how much time and money have been spent on GTA 6 before its release, as Rockstar “aims for perfection,” one analyst suggested that the game could cost up to $100.

But he also offered a more realistic estimate of $80, which would align better with historical trends observed in the gaming industry.
