Located between the Los Angeles River and the streets North Mission Road and E Cesar E Chavez Avenue, the words were written on a lot that appears to be a storage area or vacant land.

The area is located near the Union Pacific Railroad and next to a container yard. In addition to the “help” messages, it’s also possible to read “trafficking”, “LAPD“, and “federal”. While the reason behind the messages remains a mystery, internet users began speculating.

Some believe that they could be victims of human trafficking trying to contact someone who could help them, particularly the authorities. Others suggested it might be some kind of “trap” to lure people interested in helping.

A user identified as LA Guy decided to visit the area and provided some details about his investigation on social media. He said he believes it is just kids playing a prank and that it’s not anything serious.
