HP has partnered with Google to launch an innovative 3D video conferencing system called HP Dimension.
The $25,000 system features a giant screen, multiple cameras, and a 3D video conferencing platform. It will be the first system to use the Google Beam platform, which was first announced at last month’s Google I/O.
The multi-camera system can simulate a 3D environment that, combined with a 65-inch screen, makes it appear as if the person is in the same room as you, even if they are on the other side of the world.
The HP Dimension can be used for calls on both Zoom and Google Meet. Despite its high cost, an active subscription to Google Beam will be required to use the product. The monthly fee has not yet been disclosed.
