NASA has released an image, captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, of a fascinating pair of galaxies in the midst of a collision, known as Arp 107

The galaxy on the left is known as Seyfert and hosts active galactic nuclei, along with a structure composed of spiral swirls, star-forming regions, and dust lanes. The galaxy on the right is smaller and is ‘connected’ to its neighbor by a delicate “bridge” of dust and gas.

This impressive cosmic dance, captured by the Hubble, occurs at a distance of approximately 465 million light-years from Earth.
