The breathtaking scenery is located in the constellation Cepheus, about 1,200 light-years away from Earth. The nebula, officially known as Sh2-136, is characterized by being more than two light-years in size.
The Ghost Nebula is also known to be a reflection nebula, meaning it’s an interstellar dust cloud that reflects the light from nearby stars, illuminating itself and creating a visual spectacle, unlike emission nebulae that emit their own light.
