A man on the shores of Dores Beach in Scotland shared photos of the Loch Ness monster supposedly emerging from the depths of the water, and the post went viral on social media.
This would be its first reported sighting in 2025, according to The Loch Ness Centre. Aimee Todd, the center’s marketing manager, told USA Today that sightings decrease during the winter due to the lake’s conditions.
Because of this, on January 29, when the last supposed photo of the creature was taken, the waters were calm, and the conditions were ideal to spot its unusual activities, according to Todd.
“I just thought it was brilliant because it really looks like a wave. And it looks like there’s some kind of dark mass under the water pushing that wave up,” she said about the sighting.
