A Japanese company is developing a “human washing machine” capable of performing a complete washing and drying cycle in just 15 minutes.
Inspired by the “Ultrasonic Bath” from 1970, created by Sanyo Electric, the new version is being modernized by Science Co., under the leadership of Yasuaki Aoyama. The original egg-shaped capsule filled with warm water and even offered massages but never gained popularity. Now, with cutting-edge technology, the goal is to make the concept viable for the future.
Named “Mirai Ningen Sentakuki,” the device will be showcased in April during an exhibition in Japan. The machine combines artificial intelligence and sensors to adjust the water temperature based on the user’s vital signs.
Additionally, relaxing visuals are projected onto a transparent cover to enhance the experience. Approximately one thousand visitors are expected to try out this innovation during the event.
Aoyama, who has been fascinated by the idea since childhood, states that the project is 70% complete. He believes that this new version not only revives the technological legacy of the 1970 exhibition but also points to a future where such machines could become as common as traditional household appliances.
