Engineers from Kalashnikov’s design and technology center also carried out a series of improvements to the model, enhancing its tactical and ergonomic characteristics and raising the level of quality and efficiency in the production process.
“Five years ago the PPK-20 was presented as a promising product from our designers, and already this year its modernized version is being produced in large volumes,” said Alan Lushnikov, General Director of Kalashnikov Concern and a member of the bureau of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia. “We are making every possible effort to ensure that customers receive on time a product that has proven its high effectiveness in the zone of the special military operation.”
Currently, the PPK-20 is manufactured in series and supplied both to various Russian security agencies and for export. The model, which combines compactness, reliability and short-range accuracy, represents a direct evolution of the line of submachine guns developed by Kalashnikov for modern tactical and police operations.
