Luís Ferraz, 50 years old, died after being beaten by a neighbor in the city of Penafiel, Portugal.
The incident occurred last weekend after a fight that began over a friend request sent by Ferraz’s son to the daughter of Vítor Pinto, 40, who has been identified as the main suspect in the crime.
According to police reports, Ferraz was approached by Pinto on the night of last Saturday (7) as he was getting out of his car. Ferraz reportedly tried to avoid the confrontation but ended up tripping and falling.

It was then that Pinto began beating him, punching him in the chest and head. Ferraz was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest but did not survive. Pinto confessed to the assault but denied any intention to kill.
Pinto already had a criminal record for bodily harm and defamation. In April, Ferraz’s son had filed a complaint against Pinto and his wife, claiming he had been physically assaulted for communicating with the couple’s daughter on social media.
