A man who spent $2,000 to buy an abandoned storage unit was left speechless by what he found inside.

Content creator Wades Ventures often buys storage units to showcase what he finds. But this time, the contents of the unit truly surprised him.

In a video shared on his TikTok profile, which has already received over 1.3 million views, Wade discovered a real goldmine of vintage video games.

Inside the unit, he found a box containing a large collection of Pokémon cards from 1999 to 2000, as well as Magic: The Gathering cards from the same era.

Common Pokémon cards cost between $1 and $20. However, any graded rare Pokémon card can go for anywhere between $1,000 and $20,000.

Meanwhile, mid-tier Magic cards from older or early Unlimited editions typically sell for around $100 or less.

In the unit, Wade also found many consoles, including a Wii U, which usually resells for about $100, as well as a standard Wii, which typically goes for $20 to $35.

He also found a Dreamcast, which, if functional, adds around $60 to the total value, along with a first-generation Nintendo DS, worth about $30.

The unit also contained more modern items, such as a boxed Xbox One Jedi Edition, which can fetch about $250 due to being a limited edition.

The collection was rounded out with a few more interesting items, like an arcade-style TV joystick for retro setups, worth between $40 and $100, and a replica Pip-Boy from the game Fallout, which can be resold for around $150.

So, making a rough estimate, what Wade has found so far could net him between $850 and $1,000 or more. But if he finds a rare Pokémon card, he’d only need to sell one for $1,000 to make back the money he spent on the unit.

“A millennial’s dream,” one TikTok user commented. “He made his money back just with the Pokémon cards,” said another. “That’s a 30-year-old collection and now it’s gone — that’s sad,” lamented a third viewer.
