A man shared a story on Reddit that is leaving the internet users amazed. He used artificial intelligence to apply for 1,000 job openings while he was sleeping.
In the post, the anonymous man explained that he developed an AI bot to send job applications while he was asleep. He said he was shocked when he woke up and discovered that he had secured 50 interviews.
In addition to sending the applications, he explained that the bot also updated his resume and cover letter using the job’s keywords to increase his chances of getting recruiters’ attention.
“I created an AI bot that: analyzes candidate information, examines job descriptions, generates unique resumes and cover letters for each job, answers specific questions from recruiters, and automatically applies for positions,” he shared in the post.
“And all of this while I was asleep! In just one month, this method helped me secure around 50 interviews. The customized CVs and cover letters […] based on each job description, made a significant difference.”
Since recruiters and human resources companies are already using artificial intelligence to select candidates, internet users were excited about the possibility of using the tool to enhance their chances of landing a job.
However, the creator of the bot emphasized the ethical aspect while starting a discussion on the matter. “We face a paradox: by aiming to optimize the selection process, we risk losing the human element that often makes the difference in a work environment. The challenge ahead is not only technological, but also ethical and social.”
“We will need to find a delicate balance between the efficiency of artificial intelligence and the richness of human interactions. Only then will we be able to build a future of work that is not only productive but also rewarding and meaningful for all,” he concluded.
