As part of a new strategy by Meta to attract users from TikTok to Instagram, the company has announced an increase in the bonus offered to content creators.

Now, the bonus for content creators coming from the Chinese video app can range from $10,000 to $50,000, according to information published by The Information last Monday (20).

However, to qualify for the bonus, the company has determined that influencers must first post their videos on Instagram before sharing the content on other platforms.

Meta is developing a series of strategies to attract users and content creators to the platform, taking advantage of the recent ban of TikTok in the United States.

Although TikTok was down for only a few hours last Sunday (19), Instagram has announced other measures to attract influencers, such as extending the maximum length of Reels to 3 minutes.

It is worth remembering that the bonus for content creators was first introduced by Meta in 2022 as a way to compete with TikTok. However, the bonus was cut the following year and was eventually discontinued altogether.
