According to information from Windows Central, starting from November 12, 2023, the Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One will no longer accept controls or other accessories that are not authorized by Microsoft. The company has stated that only users who use USB devices through the Xbox Adaptive Controller for accessibility purposes will not be affected by the new restrictions.

It’s worth noting that accessories from other brands, but licensed by the company, should also continue to work normally, such as Hori, Razer, and Logitech, for example.

The ‘Error 0x82d60002‘ is displayed only for users who attempt to connect non-Microsoft or unlicensed accessories to the console, and it will display the following message:

“The connected accessory is not authorized. The use of unauthorized accessories compromises your gaming experience. For this reason, the use of unauthorized accessories will be blocked on 12/11/2023. For assistance in returning it, please check with the original store or contact the manufacturer. To view authorized accessories, visit www.xbox.com/accessories. (0x82d60002)”
