The photo was captured on October 12 under the skies of June Lake, California, in the United States, and it highlights fascinating galaxies in the northern constellation region of Canes Venatici, or the ‘Hunting Dogs.’

In the upper left corner of the image, at a distance of approximately 23.5 million light-years, you can see the beautiful spiral galaxy NGC 4258, also known as Messier 106. Just above and to the right of the center, at a distance of 60 million light-years, is another spiral galaxy, NGC 4217. Surprising this observation is Comet C/2023 H2 Lemmon, discovered in April.

The comet displays a greenish color and a smooth tail that extends towards the top of the image. C/2023 H2 Lemmon will reach perihelion, its closest point to the Sun, on October 29, while perigee, its closest point to Earth, will occur on November 10.
