NASA showcased a beautiful capture in the ‘Astronomical Picture of the Day‘ of Comet Encke, the second periodic asteroid ever discovered in history, following Halley’s Comet, next to the emission nebula officially known as IC 410.

Encke (2P/Encke) is known for having the shortest period among comets traveling through our Solar System, taking only 3.3 years to complete one orbit around the Sun and become visible.
Moreover, this comet is closely associated with at least two annual meteor showers on Earth, the Northern and Southern Taurids, both occurring in late October and early November.
In the image, you can observe the beauty of Comet Encke with its greenish color, near a young star cluster and clouds in the emission nebula IC 410.
