Netflix introduced a series of changes last Wednesday (7), including a new search feature that uses artificial intelligence.
The new feature, which will be gradually rolled out to users, involves using AI to suggest content based on descriptions written in a conversational form.
That is, if you type in the search bar that you “want to watch something funny” or that you are “looking for true crime updates,” Netflix’s generative AI will provide content that fits that description.
As for the new design, the streaming platform took note of TikTok’s success and introduced a new vertical scroll feed system, which displays clips from series and movies so you can discover new productions in the catalog.
According to TechCrunch, AI-powered searches will be available only to iOS users in certain regions, while the vertical scroll feed will enter the testing phase “in the coming weeks.”
Netflix has a simpler and better look! With this new update, it’s the same Netflix you know and love, but the fresh design gives you more title information at a glance, so it’s easier to find something to watch.
