The UK Ministry of Defence is subjecting two new unmanned maritime drones to final testing. If successful, the devices will be sent to Ukraine.

The drones, Snapper and Wasp, are “new unmanned maritime systems that were quickly developed specifically to support Ukraine,” according to Maria Eagle, Minister of State for the Ministry of Defence.

She added that “the system is currently undergoing final tests, and further details will be defined in due course.”

Both drones are described as initiatives designed to strengthen defence efforts in Ukraine, although more information on the scope and operational plans is still pending release.
