A New Yorker gave a tour of his new micro-apartment to family and friends and it went viral: “How can someone live like this?”
Quincy Weirts, a dog groomer from New York, shared a tour of his new micro-apartment on social media, but the footage went viral, with many internet users questioning whether it’s possible to live in such a small space.
In a video posted on TikTok, which has already garnered over 2 million views, Weirts begins by explaining that he’s just moved in and his family and friends have been asking to see his new home.
He starts by showing the front door of the apartment, next to which there’s a rather messy bookshelf. Weirts explains that his things aren’t in place yet and apologizes for the clutter.

Two steps forward and he can already open the bathroom door, a very cramped space with a toilet, a sink, and a shower. To access the kitchen, Weirts just needs to close the bathroom door and turn left.
Next to the kitchen, the living room/bedroom has a futon that serves as both a couch and a bed. At this point, we see a large dog resting, and Weirts hurries to explain that it’s his pet, who goes to work with him every day, so it’s not left alone there.
Weirts’ video received many comments from shocked internet users about the small space and the fact that he pays $1,200 in rent. “How can anyone live like this?” asked one person. “Sorry, but is this even legal?” asked another.
However, many people encouraged Weirts to organize his new apartment and even gave suggestions for decorating and organizing. One person even suggested he turn the process of organizing into a series on TikTok.
