Two suspects from the New York metropolitan area were arrested after their pitbulls were accused of attacking police officers during a search at an alleged drug trafficking location.
The dogs Salami Mami and Chocolate Chip are said to have attacked four police officers during the drug operation on March 5. Three of them were hospitalized due to their injuries.
After the attack, Gabriel Blandino, 30, and Jeffrey Salley, 35, were arrested in Webster, Massachusetts, according to a report from the WFXT-TV channel.

“What bothers me the most is the fact that this was a business establishment openly distributing narcotics,” said Webster Police Chief Michael Shaw to the media.
Body camera footage shows the two dogs violently attacking the officers inside the establishment. The officers had to use a Taser and pepper spray to stop the attack.
One officer needed 11 stitches, according to Shaw. Now, the dogs are under a 10-day quarantine until animal control authorities can determine whether they are up to date with rabies and other vaccinations.
