Speaking to People, Culpepper emphasized the importance of being open: “Always be open to new friendships,” she said. “You never know who might be there to impact your life — if you just open your eyes.”
Before heading back home, the new friends made a pact to stay in each other’s lives — and they’ve been doing everything they can to make that happen.
