Snoop Dogg posted a video on his Instagram profile to respond to the criticism he received after performing at President Donald Trump’s “Crypto Ball.”

The event, which took place on January 17, also featured other names like Soulja Boy and Rick Ross. But the rapper, who had previously spoken out against Trump, was heavily criticized for his decision to perform at the ball.

In 2017, just before Trump’s first term, Snoop had claimed that he would “roast” artists who performed at the inauguration. The rapper even featured a clown dressed as Trump in his music video for Lavender.

Because of this, Snoop’s fans were very confused when he performed at the Republican’s event. “For all the hate, I will respond with love, I love too much,” he replied in a video posted on his Instagram profile.

“Fix your life, stop worrying about mine. I’m good. I’m good. I’m still a Black man. I’m still 100% Black. Everything out until you make it or until you fall.”

“We have to learn to rise instead of being brought down. That’s what we’re good at as Black people. We’re good at getting up. You can be on top one minute and they’ll try to bring you down the next,” Snoop added.

“But I’m a strong Black man. I’m made of a different fabric. You can’t bring me down. I’m one of God’s [children],” he concluded, though he still received many criticisms in the comments.

“Snoop, you’ve disappointed us. We’ve been with you since we were kids. This really hurt,” admitted one fan. “Not all money is good money. There’s no way Snoop needs a paycheck. You can turn some things down,” said another.

“Zero hate, just [we are] disappointed,” confessed a third follower. “I don’t hate him… I just lost respect for him,” shared another. “My mom told me to never trust someone who would do anything for money,” added one more.
