On the company’s website, the new “Starlink Direct to Cell” page promises “ubiquitous coverage” from “cell towers in space.”

The current timeline states that there will be text messaging service starting in 2024, while voice calls, LTE mobile data, and Internet of Things (IoT) service are expected to be available in 2025.

So far, the global carriers confirmed by Starlink only include telecommunications companies from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Switzerland. However, the new promotional page is seeking additional partners.
