Although Japan is a relatively small country, internet users were left completely speechless after seeing an aerial view of the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
In the image shared by a Reddit user, Tokyo appears to be a never-ending city, with a massive number of buildings stretching across a vast plain, with only Mount Fuji in the background providing some elevation.
The Tokyo metropolitan area, also known as Greater Tokyo, covers around 13,500 square kilometers. With a population of 37 million people, it’s as if nearly the entire population of Canada were placed in a single urban zone.
“We went there in 2016 and couldn’t believe that from the top of the Sky Tree, you could look in any direction and not see the end of the city. Incredibly massive and incredibly clean,” said a Reddit user.
“A huge urban area and such a high population density, yet one of the cleanest, safest, and easiest places to get around I’ve ever visited. Tokyo is an absolute wonder,” another commenter added.
