Joshua Blackledge, the tiktoker who had over 1 million followers on the social media platform, passed away at 16 on March 18.
The young man passed away at his home in Newport, North Carolina, according to his obituary. His family did not disclose the cause of Joshua’s death.
“He had a passion for outdoor activities and loved being near the water, whether fishing or boating with friends. He also loved cars and trucks,” the obituary further reads.
“At home, Joshua enjoyed helping his mom with cooking, gardening, and yard work. He had an energetic spirit and was known for his fun-loving nature, often impressing others with backflips.”
Joshua had just celebrated his eight-month anniversary with fellow influencer Emmie Gillikin, who frequently appeared on the young man’s account.
Emmie shared several clips of their relationship in a tribute post to Joshua shortly after his death. “I miss this sweet boy now. I never thought I would be here without you.”
“Josh showed me what love really was, even though I was so young. He never stopped putting a smile on my face, no matter how mad I was at him… Even after these last few days, nothing feels real and I’m feeling all the emotions,” she also wrote.
Joshua left behind his girlfriend, his parents, and a brother. A celebration of his life was held last Sunday (23) in Newport.
