TikToker shares recordings of her sleepwalking episodes and goes viral with millions of views.

TikToker Sarah Kraffy has been a sleepwalker since childhood. She and her husband Joel, also a content creator, recently decided to record her sleepwalking episodes and share them on social media.

The first clip posted by Joel on TikTok, showing some of his wife’s nighttime adventures, quickly went viral with over 1 million views. A second clip, where Sarah opens the fridge and drinks pickle juice, became even more popular.

The couple was surprised by the reaction to the footage, but even more so by the number of people sharing in the comments their own experiences as sleepwalkers.

To People, the couple said they didn’t realize how many people also deal with the disorder: “I couldn’t believe how many people knew about this or knew someone who had gone through it. I mean, hundreds of thousands of people,” revealed Sarah.

Joel also mentioned that every night they take a series of precautions for Sarah’s safety, such as locking doors and windows and turning off appliances.

According to him, after their posts, the couple received numerous suggestions on how to make their home even safer for Sarah.

“I was surprised by the number of helpful comments,” Sarah said. “Someone suggested hiding the keys, because maybe your subconscious would notice if you moved them. I don’t know if I would remember if I moved them, but it’s an interesting thought. It’s something I really hadn’t researched.”

“It’s something she experiences, and we’ve been dealing with it for a long time, so it’s become a pretty standard routine,” Joel added. “What we do is just focus on safety.”
