According to military authorities, both pilots on board were unharmed, and the aircraft suffered no structural damage. After an on-site technical inspection, the helicopter safely returned to the Sarsava Air Base.
This is not the first incident involving Apache helicopters in the country. In April 2024, a similar event was recorded in the Ladakh region, highlighting the ongoing importance of maintenance and technical evaluation of these aircraft.
The Indian Air Force currently operates a fleet of 22 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, supplied by Boeing between 2022 and 2023. These models are considered essential for tactical operations and missions in challenging terrains, such as those found in India’s border regions.
