British Airways has announced its new seats for the premium cabins of the Airbus A380, set to be launched in 2026. The innovation will debut on flights to Johannesburg, Miami, Singapore, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston.
The seat is 93 cm wide and can recline to form a 2-meter-long bed. In addition to the comfort of the seat, the cabin features a personal wardrobe, eliminating the need for overhead compartments.
The accommodations are equipped with 32-inch 4K entertainment screens.
The cabin was developed with the help of crew members and frequent passengers. It will replace the current configuration of 14 first-class seats with 12 more spacious ones.
British Airways’ customer director, Calum Laming, stated that first class remains crucial for the company, serving both business travel and a premium leisure market.
