The autonomous drone, starting its journey from the Lizard Peninsula, not only delivered supplies to the aircraft carrier but also successfully returned, highlighting the immense potential of autonomous naval aviation.

The drone’s landing and takeoff capabilities are further emphasized by its innovative autopilot system, eliminating the need for remote control by human pilots, and its ability to operate in challenging environments.

The tests off Cornwall were the first stage of a program that pushed the boundaries of naval aviation for Britain’s largest warship.

The HMS Prince of Wales will be operating off the east coast of the US until Christmas, conducting experiments with stealth fighters F-35 Lightning, tilt rotors MV-Osprey, and the Mojave drone.
