Despite promising excellent durability for the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s screen, a drop test of Samsung’s new release showed shocking cracks in the glass.
In a video made by the product insurance and protection company Allstate Protection Plans, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is put through a drop test.
The South Korean manufacturer, which unveiled the device in January, announced that the device features a Gorilla Armor 2 screen from Corning, supposedly ultra-resistant to drops and scratches.
However, after tests conducted by Allstate Protection Plans, which involved drops with the screen facing the pavement, the side hitting the ground, and the back making direct contact with the floor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was severely damaged.

The testers rated the device’s performance as “poor.” In the first test alone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s screen cracked, the display stopped working, leaving some pixel lines missing, and the sound was also affected.
The results from the other tests were slightly better, with only a few scratches, but the device continued to function normally. However, it’s important to note that for the tests, the device was dropped from a height of 1.8 meters using a robotic arm.
